This smoke alarm detects products of combustion using ionization technology. Once installed and powered, your Kidde i12060 smoke alarm is ready to protect your home. It features an indicator LED and a test/hush button for easy interaction.
Alarma probatzen
It is crucial to test your smoke alarm weekly to ensure proper function.
- Press and hold the 'TEST' button located on the front of the alarm.
- The alarm will sound a loud, pulsating alarm. This indicates the electronic circuitry, horn, and battery are working.
- Release the button. The alarm will stop.
Using the Hush Feature
The 'HUSH' feature temporarily silences nuisance alarms caused by non-emergency situations, such as cooking fumes.
- Press the 'HUSH' button when a nuisance alarm sounds.
- The alarm will be desensitized for approximately seven minutes. During this time, the alarm will chirp every 30 to 40 seconds.
- If smoke is too dense, the hush feature will be overridden, and the alarm will continue to sound.
- The alarm automatically resets at the end of the seven-minute period.
