The Lutron Caseta 3 Way Smart Dimmer Light Switch Kit provides convenient smart lighting control for your home. This system integrates seamlessly into smart home environments, offering automated light adjustment for various settings. Control your lights from anywhere using the included Pico remote or through a smartphone when connected to the Lutron Caseta Smart Hub (sold separately).

This kit is designed for easy installation and broad compatibility, supporting up to 600-Watt for incandescent or halogen bulbs and 150-Watt for dimmable LEDs, with no neutral wire required.

Before beginning installation, ensure power is turned off at the circuit breaker to prevent electric shock. This kit is designed for DIY-friendly 3-way installations, allowing you to add a second switch location without running new wires.

5. Install Caseta Dimmer (Location 1):
   • Connect the green dimmer wire to the bare copper or green ground wire in the wall box using a wire connector.
   • Connect one of the remaining dimmer wires to the tagged common wire using a second wire connector.
   • Connect the last dimmer wire to both remaining wall box wires (travelers) using a third wire connector.
   • Carefully tuck all wires back into the wall box.
   • Align the Caseta wireless dimmer with the wall box and mount it using the screws provided with the dimmer.
6. Install Pico Remote (Location 2):
   • At the second switch location, remove the existing switch and disconnect all wires. Cap off all wires in the wall box using wire connectors.
   • Remove the plastic insert from the back of the Pico remote control.
   • Slide the Pico remote control onto the wallplate bracket.
   • Secure the wallplate bracket to the wall box by inserting the provided mounting screws through the holes in the bracket and into the wall box.

Caseta Smart Dimmer Operation:

Pairing Pico Remote with Dimmer:

To pair the Pico remote control with the in-wall dimmer:

1. Press and hold the OFF button on the in-wall dimmer for 6 seconds until the LEDs on the dimmer start blinking.
2. While the dimmer LEDs are blinking, press and hold the OFF button on the Pico remote control for 6 seconds until the light you are controlling flashes three times.
3. The Pico remote is now paired and can control the dimmer from its mounted location or as a handheld remote.

The Pico remote has a 10-year typical battery life.
