Your Shark CU512 vacuum comes partially assembled. Follow these steps to complete the setup:

1. Insert the wand into the nozzle until it clicks securely.
2. Slide the pod onto the wand until it locks into place.
3. Attach the hose to the back of the pod by pushing it firmly until it clicks.
4. Store the crevice tool on the accessory post located on the side of the wand.
5. Wrap the power cord around the cord hooks for neat storage.

Before operating, ensure the power cord is fully unwrapped and plugged into a grounded outlet.

Power and Surface Settings:

The power switch and surface selector are located on the top of the main unit. Choose the appropriate setting for your cleaning task:

• Zoru gogorra: For bare floors and delicate area rugs. The brushroll will not spin in this mode.
• Alfonbra: For low-pile to high-pile carpets. The brushroll will spin to agitate carpet fibers.

Using Lift-Away Mode:

To use the Lift-Away feature for portable cleaning:

1. Press the Lift-Away button on the side of the pod.
2. Lift the pod away from the nozzle.
3. You can now carry the pod and use the hose with attachments for above-floor cleaning.
4. To reattach, simply place the pod back onto the nozzle until it clicks.
