Follow these steps to set up your PWAY 4K HDMI Extender:

  1. Prestatu kableak: Ensure you have a high-quality HDMI 2.0 cable (preferably less than 3 meters/10 feet) for connecting the source to the transmitter and the receiver to the display. You will also need a Cat5e, Cat6, or Cat7 Ethernet cable (up to 60 meters) with T568B wiring for connecting the transmitter and receiver units.
  2. Connect Source to Transmitter (TX): Connect your HDMI source device (e.g., PC, laptop, TV box) to the HDMI IN port of the Transmitter unit using an HDMI cable.

  • Power Indicator (Red LED): Illuminates when the unit receives power.

  • HDMI Loop Out: The HDMI OUT port on the Transmitter (TX) unit provides a local display output, allowing you to view the source content simultaneously at the source location.
  • IR kontrola: Use your source device's remote control at the receiver location. The IR receiver cable will pick up the signal, transmit it through the Ethernet cable to the transmitter, and the IR blaster cable will relay it to your source device.

8. IR Remote Control Functionality

The IR extension feature allows you to control your HDMI source device from the remote display location. This is particularly useful when the source device is in a different room or cabinet.

  1. Ensure the IR Blaster cable is securely connected to the TX unit's IR OUT port and its emitter head is positioned directly over or very close to the IR sensor of your source device.
  2. Ensure the IR Receiver cable is securely connected to the RX unit's IR IN port and its receiver head is placed in a clear line of sight to where you will be using your remote control.
  3. Point your source device's remote control at the IR Receiver head at the display location to send commands to the source device.

9. Arazoak

    • Check for electromagnetic interference (EMI) from other electronic devices. Try relocating the extender units or cables.
    • Verify that your HDMI cables are high-speed HDMI 2.0 compliant.
  • IR Remote Control Not Working:
    • Ensure the IR Blaster head is correctly positioned over the source device's IR sensor.
    • Ensure the IR Receiver head is in a clear line of sight to your remote control.
    • Check that both IR cables are securely plugged into the correct ports (IR OUT on TX, IR IN on RX).
    • Confirm your remote control batteries are functional.
  • HDMI-CEC Issues: Note that some HDMI-CEC functionalities (controlling multiple devices with one remote) may not be fully supported or may behave inconsistently through the extender. This is a common limitation with many HDMI extension solutions.
