The ASUS TUF Gaming B850-PLUS WiFi motherboard is engineered to deliver robust performance and reliability for your computing needs. Designed for the future of AI computing, this motherboard provides the necessary power and connectivity for demanding AI applications. It is compatible with AMD Socket AM5, supporting AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 Series Desktop Processors.

2.4. M.2 Drive Installation

The motherboard features three M.2 slots for high-speed storage. M.2 #1 supports PCIe 5.0 x4, while M.2 #2 and M.2 #3 support PCIe 4.0 x4. M.2 #2 can accommodate drives up to 22110 size, while M.2 #1 and #3 support up to 2280. Dedicated heatsinks are provided for all M.2 slots to maintain optimal operating temperatures.

Important Note on PCIe Lane Sharing: M.2 slot #3 and the bottom PCIe x16 (G4) slot share bandwidth. If a drive is installed in M.2 slot #3, the bottom PCIe x16 (G4) slot will be disabled. Plan your storage and expansion card configuration accordingly.
