- **Start:** Unwrap the tape backing about 15cm. Begin wrapping at the bottom of the drop (end of the handlebar), leaving the first 2-3 cm of tape overhanging the bar end.
- **Direction:** Wrap outward to inward (counter-clockwise on the right side). Pull the tape taut at a consistent, moderate tension as you wrap.
- **Overlap:** Overlap each preceding wrap by about one-third to one-half of the tape's width.
- **Around the Brake Lever:** When you reach the brake lever clamp, wrap behind the lever, then in front, to create a secure, neat hood.
- **Finish:** Continue wrapping until you reach the top of the handlebar near the stem. Cut the tape at a slight angle.

- Repeat Step 2, but wrap inward to outward (clockwise on the left side) for symmetry.
