  3. Insert the cleaned fiber optic connector into the device port. For OPM, the standard connector is SC UPC, but adapters for FC, ST, and LC are available (optional).

  4. Setting Reference (REF) and Unit (dB/dBm): Sakatu REF/dB button to switch between absolute (dBm) and relative (dB) measurements. To set a reference value for relative measurements, press and hold the REF/dB botoia.
  5. Kalibrazioa: For calibration, connect the KPV-53 to a light source of the same wavelength. Simultaneously press the REF/dB eta VFL keys to enter the adjustment interface. 6.3. Visual Fault Locator (VFL) Function

  1. Connect the fiber optic cable to the VFL port as described in Section 5.2.

  3. Observe the fiber for any light leakage, which indicates a break or fault. The VFL operates in both Continuous Wave (CW) and Modulation modes.
