Step 1: Removing the Old Band
- Place your watch face down on a soft cloth to prevent scratches.
- Locate the spring bars that secure the old band to the watch lugs. These are small, spring-loaded pins at each end of the band.
- Using the spring bar tool or screwdriver, gently push in one end of the spring bar.
- While holding the spring bar compressed, carefully pull the band away from the watch lug until the spring bar detaches.
- Repeat this process for the other end of the band and for the second half of the watch band.
- Retain the old spring bars if they are in good condition, as some replacement bands may not include new ones.
Step 2: Installing the New Band
Ensure you have the correct orientation for the new band. Typically, the buckle side attaches to the 12 o'clock position of the watch, and the longer strap with holes attaches to the 6 o'clock position.

- Insert one end of a spring bar into the hole on one of the watch lugs.
- Compress the other end of the spring bar with your tool.
- Carefully guide the spring bar into the corresponding hole on the opposite lug. You should hear a small click when it's securely in place.
- Gently tug on the band to ensure it is firmly attached and does not come loose.
- Repeat this process for the second half of the watch band.
