The KODAK SCANZA Digital Film & Slide Scanner is designed to convert various film and slide formats into digital JPEG files. This device offers a convenient way to preserve old memories by digitizing 35mm, 126, 110, Super 8, and 8mm negatives and slides.

Konfigurazioa

1. Piztea

  1. Connect the USB power cable to the scanner's USB port and the AC adapter.

  3. Press and hold the Power button on the front panel for approximately 3 seconds until the LCD screen illuminates.

  1. Locate the SD card slot on the rear panel of the scanner.
  2. Insert a compatible SD card (up to 128GB, not included) into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is inserted in the correct orientation.

3. Connecting to an External Display (Optional)

To view images on a larger screen, you can connect the scanner to a TV or monitor:

  1. For HDMI-compatible displays, connect the provided HDMI cable from the scanner's HDMI Output to your display's HDMI input.
  2. For older TVs, use the provided video cable to connect the scanner's TV Output to your TV's video input.
  3. It is recommended to connect the cables before powering on the SCANZA for optimal detection by the external display.

1. Selecting Film/Slide Type

  1. From the main menu on the LCD screen, navigate to the 'Film Type' or 'Media Type' setting using the function keys.
  2. Select the appropriate film or slide type (e.g., 35mm Negative, 35mm Slide, 110 Film, Super 8 Film) that you intend to scan.

2. Loading Film or Slides

  1. Select the correct film insert or adapter tray for your media type from the included accessories.
  2. Carefully load your film strip or slide into the corresponding insert/tray. Ensure the film/slide is clean and free of dust.
  3. Insert the loaded tray into the scanner's side slot. For film strips, gently push the strip through the slot until the image appears on the LCD screen.

3. Scanning and Saving Images

  1. Once the film or slide is correctly positioned and the image is visible on the LCD screen, you can make adjustments if necessary (see 'Adjusting Settings' below).
  2. Sakatu Harrapatzea button to take a digital snapshot of the image. The scanner will process and save the image to the inserted SD card.
  3. For film strips, advance the film to the next frame and repeat the capture process.

Cleaning the Light Box

Dust and speckles on the light box can appear on your scanned images. Regular cleaning is recommended:

  1. Ensure the scanner is powered off and disconnected from the power source.
  2. Use the included film cleaning brush to gently remove any dust or debris from the light box area and film slots.
  3. Avoid using liquids or abrasive materials, as these can damage the scanner's components.
