3. Konfigurazioa

3.1 Bateriaren instalazioa

The Foretrex 701 operates on two AAA batteries. For optimal performance and battery life, it is recommended to use high-quality alkaline or lithium AAA batteries. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the batteries.

4.2 Tracking and Waypoints

The device can record your routes and track the distance covered. You can mark waypoints to save specific locations of interest.

1. To mark a waypoint, press the MARKATU botoia.
2. To view saved waypoints, tracks, or routes, navigate to the main menu using the ORRIA button and select the appropriate option.

4.3 Applied Ballistics Elite Software

The Foretrex 701 Ballistic Edition includes Applied Ballistics Elite software to calculate aiming solutions for long-range shooting. This feature provides critical data such as elevation, windage, and holdovers.

4.4 Stealth Mode

Stealth Mode disables all wireless communications and hides GPS data, allowing users to track distance traveled during training or operations without recording specific location data. This ensures discretion and confidentiality.

4.5 Jumpmaster Mode

Jumpmaster Mode calculates high-altitude release points in accordance with military guidelines, supporting HAHO (High Altitude High Opening), HALO (High Altitude Low Opening), and Static jump types.

4.6 Kill Switch

The Kill Switch hotkey performs a quick reset on the unit, restoring it to its factory settings and erasing all stored user data. This feature is designed for situations where immediate data erasure is required.
