1. Connect the charger to the charging port located on the battery at the bottom of the main body.
2. Plug the charger into a wall outlet. The blue LED indicator lights on the battery will illuminate and pulse during charging, turning off when fully charged.

3. Installing the Docking Station (Optional)

The docking station provides a convenient storage and charging solution.

1. Choose a suitable location near an electrical outlet. Ensure there is enough space for the vacuum to hang freely.
2. Using appropriate screws and wall plugs (not included), secure the docking station to the wall.
3. Connect the charger cable to the docking station.
4. Place the vacuum into the docking station to charge and store.

To start the vacuum, pull and hold the power trigger. Release the trigger to turn off the vacuum.

Your Dyson V8 Animal+ has two suction modes:

• MAX modua: Provides maximum suction for tougher tasks. To activate, slide the switch on the top of the main body to the 'MAX' position. This mode offers approximately 7 minutes of run time.

4. Emptying the Clear Bin

Empty the bin as soon as the dirt reaches the MAX level mark. Do not overfill.

1. Hold the vacuum over a waste bin.
2. Push the red lever down firmly until the bin base opens and the shroud slides down, releasing the dirt.
3. Close the bin base by pushing it upwards until it clicks securely.

1. Washing the Filter

The HEPA filter requires regular washing to maintain optimal suction. Wash the filter at least once a month, or more frequently with heavy use.

1. Twist the filter counter-clockwise from the top of the main body to remove it.
2. Wash the filter under cold running water until the water runs clear. Do not use detergents.
3. Squeeze and twist the filter to ensure all excess water is removed.
4. Leave the filter to dry completely for at least 24 hours in a warm, dry place. Do not dry in a tumble dryer, microwave, or near an open flame.
5. Once completely dry, replace the filter by twisting it clockwise back onto the main body.

2. Clearing Blockages

If the vacuum loses suction, check for blockages in the cleaner head, wand, and main body inlet.

3. Cleaning the Brush Bar
