1. Sarrera

The Plustek OpticFilm 8200i Ai is a high-resolution film and slide scanner designed for converting 35mm negatives and slides into digital images. It features a built-in infrared channel for dust and scratch removal, IT8 calibration for accurate color reproduction, and is bundled with SilverFast Ai Studio 8 software for advanced image processing.

3. Konfigurazioa

3.2. Software Instalazioa

1. Download the latest drivers and SilverFast Ai Studio 8 software from the official Plustek webgunea (www.plustek.com).
2. Run the installer for the drivers first, following the on-screen instructions.
3. Install SilverFast Ai Studio 8. You will need to register your software using the provided license key.

3.3. Hardware konexioa

4.1. Loading Film and Slides

1. Open the appropriate film holder (35mm negative or slide holder).
2. Carefully place your film strips or mounted slides into the designated slots, ensuring they are flat and correctly oriented.
3. Close the film holder securely.
4. Insert the loaded film holder into the scanner's film slot.

4.2. Scanning Process with SilverFast Ai Studio 8

Launch SilverFast Ai Studio 8 software on your computer.

1. Aurreview Eskaneatu: Initiate a preview scan within SilverFast to see a low-resolution version of your film/slide. This allows for cropping and initial adjustments.

4. HDRi (High Dynamic Range Imaging): Enable HDRi to capture 64-bit RAW data, including information from the infrared channel. This provides maximum detail and dynamic range for post-processing.

5. 16-bit Histogram: Use the 16-bit histogram tool for precise adjustment of black point, white point, and midtones, ensuring optimal tonal range in your scans.

6. Final Scan: Once settings are optimized, initiate the final high-resolution scan. Save your digital images in your preferred format.

4.3. Using IntelliScan and QuickScan Buttons

The scanner features two front panel buttons for quick operations:

• IntelliScan: Configurable through SilverFast, this button can be assigned to perform a specific scanning task or open the SilverFast software.
• QuickScan: Also configurable, this button can be set to perform a quick scan with predefined settings or launch a specific application.
