For portable use, the radio requires 4 x AA batteries (not included). To install batteries:

Turning On and Selecting Band
Use the Power/AM/FM switch to turn the radio on and select your desired band (AM or FM).

To tune to a radio station, follow these steps:
- 1. urratsa: Fully extend the telescopic antenna for FM reception.
- 2. urratsa: Switch the Power/AM/FM switch to either 'AM' or 'FM' to turn the radio on and select the desired band.

For private listening, plug any standard 3.5mm headphones into the headphone socket located on the side of the radio. The internal speaker will automatically mute when headphones are connected.
