The HOTONE Pulze Control EC-2 is an ultra-compact wireless MIDI controller designed for musicians and producers. It offers flexible control over MIDI gear through both Bluetooth and wired connections, providing a versatile solution for various performance and studio setups.

4.1 Gailua kargatzea

Before first use, fully charge the Pulze Control EC-2. Connect the included USB cable to the DC 5V/USB Port (8) on the unit and the other end to a standard USB power adapter (5V) or a computer's USB port. The Power LED (2) will indicate charging status.

To power on the device, press and hold the Power Button (6) until the Power LED (2) illuminates. To power off, press and hold the Power Button (6) again until the Power LED (2) turns off.

4.3 Connecting via Bluetooth (Wireless)

1. Ensure the Pulze Control EC-2 is powered on.
2. On your mobile device (smartphone or tablet), enable Bluetooth.
3. Open the dedicated HOTONE Pulze Control app (see Section 6).
4. Within the app, navigate to the connection settings and select the Pulze Control EC-2 from the list of available devices.
5. The Status LED (3) will indicate successful connection to the app ('APP' LED).

4.4 Connecting via USB (Wired)

Connect the Pulze Control EC-2 to your computer using the USB cable via the DC 5V/USB Port (8). The device will be recognized as a standard MIDI device, allowing for direct MIDI control and power.

4.5 Connecting via TRS MIDI (Wired)

For direct MIDI control of other hardware, connect a TRS to MIDI cable (not included) from the CTRL/MIDI TRS Jack (7) on the Pulze Control EC-2 to the MIDI input of your desired device.

The Pulze Control EC-2 supports multiple MIDI messages and different triggering actions, configurable via the dedicated mobile app. Here are the primary work modes:

• Bakarra: In this mode, MIDI message(s) are sent when you press the footswitch. The configured MIDI message(s) will be transmitted upon the release of the footswitch.
• toggle: This mode allows you to set up two different groups of MIDI messages (A/B). Repeatedly pressing the footswitch will toggle between sending messages from group A and group B. MIDI message(s) will be sent when the footswitch is released.
• Momentuko: You can configure two different groups of MIDI messages (A/B) for this mode. Pressing the footswitch sends MIDI message(s) from group A. Releasing the footswitch sends MIDI message(s) from group B.
• Eutsi: This mode allows you to send a single MIDI message or a group of messages repeatedly at regular intervals while the footswitch is held down. Optionally, you can configure the first MIDI message to be sent once upon a single press of the footswitch, with subsequent messages sent upon release if held.

Client and Server Modes:

The Pulze Control EC-2 supports both client and server modes, enabling control not only of computers and phones but also other MIDI gear like the Pulze amp.

6. Dedicated Mobile App

The HOTONE Pulze Control EC-2 features a dedicated mobile application that allows for comprehensive customization and control. The app is available for both iOS and Android devices.

8.3 MIDI Messages Not Being Sent/Received

• Verify that the correct operating mode is selected in the mobile app.
• Check the MIDI channel and message assignments within the app to ensure they match your receiving device's settings.
• For wired connections (USB/TRS MIDI), ensure cables are securely connected and the receiving device is properly configured to receive MIDI input.
• Update the device firmware via the mobile app if an update is available.

Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents. Avoid spraying liquids directly onto the unit.
