1. Choosing Your Coffee Type (5-in-1 System)

The KOTLIE EM-308A is compatible with five different coffee formats. Select the appropriate adapter for your chosen coffee:

• Nes*presso Original Capsules: Use the dedicated Nespresso adapter.
• D*olce G*usto Capsules: Use the dedicated Dolce Gusto adapter.
• K-Cup Capsules: Use the dedicated K-Cup adapter.
• Kafea lurra: Use the ground coffee adapter with the stainless steel pocket. Fill with 15g of fine espresso powder.
• 44mm ESE Pods: Use the ESE pod adapter with the stainless steel pocket.

Insert your chosen capsule or ground coffee into the correct adapter, then slide the adapter into the machine's slot. Press the handle down firmly to secure.

2. Setting Temperature and Volume

The machine offers four temperature options and seven cup volume levels:

  • Blue Light: Cold brewing (add ice after brewing).
  • Green Light: Medium-low temperature (65-70°C / 149-158°F).
  • Yellow Light: Medium-high temperature (70-80°C / 158-176°F).
  • Red Light: High temperature (80-85°C / 176-185°F).

3. Brewing Your Coffee

Once the water tank is filled, the adapter is loaded, and your desired temperature and volume are set, press the brew button. The machine will begin brewing your coffee. The 19-bar pressure ensures a rich crema and full-bodied flavor.

4. Making Fancy Coffee & Specialty Drinks

To create specialty drinks like Cappuccino, Latte, Espresso Macchiato, or Flat White:

• Use D*olce G*usto or SB*UX milk capsules to make milk froth or hot milk first.
• Then, brew a shot of espresso using your preferred coffee capsule or ground coffee.
• Combine the milk and espresso according to your desired proportions.

The machine can also be used to prepare other specialty drinks without coffee, such as hot chocolate, caramel hot chocolate, various teas (Citrus Honey Black Tea, Milk Tea, Indian Chai Tea, Peach Tea), and Uji Matcha.

When all indicator lights flash rapidly, with only the brew button remaining functional, it indicates that descaling and cleaning are required. This is not a machine malfunction.
