Check for a plugged strainer and clean debris from around the impeller. Also, ensure the discharge line is not plugged or kinked, and verify your battery voltage.
Locate a flat surface in the bilge that is at least 1/4 inch higher than the strainer base of your bilge pump to ensure positive shut-off.
In cube or rectangular tanks, the gauge may show 1/8 to 1/4 less fuel than the actual amount remaining when below half full. This is due to an offset designed for typical V-hull marine tanks.
